The house experience

First the sea.
Then the table.

Leave Vardø’s harbour with a professional crew, read the weather as it moves across the horizon, and approach the crab grounds as working seafarers do: deliberately.

When conditions and operations permit, guests may help with retrieval under direct supervision. Back ashore, the catch becomes a generous Arctic tasting. Catch is never guaranteed; the craft of the day is.

Our approach

01

Salt

Open water, sea spray and a working harbour at Norway’s eastern edge.

02

Fire

A simple preparation designed to keep sweetness and texture at the centre.

03

Silence

Room for weather, birdlife and the long northern horizon to set the pace.

Aurora may appear in the darker season, but nature makes no appointments.

A northern invitation

Come for the crab.
